Lauraine Marie Oglesby, aged 82, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on February 28, 1943, Lauraine was known for her friendly, outgoing personality and her career-driven mindset, which propelled her through various successful ventures.

Lauraine's educational journey began at Lincoln Institute in Simpsonville, Kentucky, and she furthered her studies as a Business Major at Kentucky State University. Her professional life was marked by a diverse array of roles including being a licensed barber at the family-owned Oglesby Barber and Beauty Shop in Shelbyville, KY. She also owned EAOS Enterprises in Louisville, KY, served as a Business Analyst for Bendix Engineering in Oxon Hill, MD, and managed real estate properties in Kentucky and Indiana. Additionally, Lauraine was a licensed real estate agent across Maryland, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Lauraine's devotion to her faith was evident as she was a member of several churches throughout her life, starting from her childhood at Clay Street Baptist Church in Shelbyville, KY, and later at Newburg Church of Christ in Louisville, KY. Her spiritual journey continued as she joined various churches with each move she made.

Her personal life was rich with hobbies such as traveling, reading, crafting, and solving puzzles. Lauraine also had a passion for the arts, frequently attending plays and movies. These interests added layers of joy and fulfillment to her life, reflecting her vibrant spirit.

Lauraine is survived by a loving family including her daughters Nannez Williams (Gary) of Louisville, KY and Stacey Washington of Indianapolis, IN; sister Edna Cardwell of Shelbyville, KY; grandchildren Amber Williams, Ariele Blair, Arynn Williams, and Torin Helm, Jr.; great-grandsons Christian Helm, Vincent Helm, and Levi Schanie; and nieces Adrienne Oglesby, Deirdre Cardwell, and nephews Jeffrey and Reginald Cardwell. She was preceded in death by her parents Aaron and Nannie (Lewis) Oglesby, her sister Beverly Oglesby, and former spouse Roy J. Hayes.
