Larry Jay Thomas, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on November 23, 1942, in Russell, Arkansas to Floyd and Melvia Thomas. Larry lived a life centered around family, hard work, love, and loyalty. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose presence, guidance, and sense of humor touched everyone who knew him.
Larry credited becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1973 with changing his life. His faith became an important part of who he was and guided him throughout the years.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Connie Thomas, with whom he built a beautiful life and loving family, six children: Ronny (Yvonne) Thomas, Karen (Dan) McClelland, Josh (Amber) Thomas, Tonia Boberg, Frank (Amy) Rumple, and James (Jessica) Rumple; 17 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren; his brother Roger Thomas, and his sister Emilie Peterson.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Jimmy Thomas, Mona Sandusky, and Mary Eudy.
Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is gone from our sight, his memory and love will remain in our hearts forever.

Services will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, May 30th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2783 S State Rd 9, Greenfield, In 46140.
