Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Larry W. McCloud II. Larry was 57 years old and a resident of Mooresville, IN; he passed away Thursday evening, October 8, 2026, suddenly at home.

Born on April 9, 1969 in Indianapolis, IN to Larry McCloud and Barbara Breeden (McCloud). Larry was the oldest of 4 children, brother Leslie McCloud, brother Ray McCloud, and sister Rosalind Sites.

Above all else Larry's greatest pride and joy was his Diet Coke and Marlboro Reds! LOL! He always put his family above everything. He was the devoted and loving husband of Misti Hawk (McCloud), with whom he shared 16 years of laughter, partnership, and unconditional love.

Larry was a father and step-father to Corey Choban (son) and Dustin Reel (step-son). As a father, he was a steady anchor, a patient teacher, and a lifelong cheerleader.

To his grandson, Larry wore his greatest title with immense pride- Papaw to Jaelynn Choban (JJ), who could always count on him for a warm hug, a pocket full of treats, and a lesson or two in life.

He was also the undisputed favorite uncle to Tiffany Tener (and Micheal Tener), Donovan Maxwell (and Kayla Maxwell), Jeffrey Sites (Patience Sites), Harley McCloud, Casey Sites, Brianna Sites, Annie Powell, Kayson Maxwell, and Anthony Asbery.

Larry had a rare gift for making everyone feel like family. Whether he was fishing, blaring his music and yelling rock n' roll, telling jokes, or playing dice, his presence filled the room with comfort and joy. He left behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and a reminder to never take the little moments for granted.

Larry is preceded in death by his mom Barbara Breeden (McCloud), his dad Larry McCloud, and his brother Leslie McCloud.

Larry is survived by his wife Misti McCloud, his son Corey Choban (and Ashley Ardon), his step-son Dustin Reel (and Kyara Dunn), his grandson Jaelynn Choban, his sister Rosalind Sites (and Jeff Sites), and his brother Ray McCloud (and Teresa McCloud).

Larry lived a life at maximum volume. If he wasn't blaring music he was shouting his ultimate life motto: "Rock n' Roll!". He left this world the same way he lived in it- making noise, bringing energy, and refusing to turn down the dial. Rock on in heaven Larry, you will be deeply missed and forever loved!
