Larry Ray Lundy

Larry Ray Lundy, 72, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday September 6, 2026.

 Larry was born on March 24, 1954 to Ernest Ray and Mattie Lundy. He was the youngest of three children.

 Larry was retired from Nice Pak Products where he had a career as a machinist for over 30 years. Larry was gifted with creativity and enjoyed creating parts for the machines at the plant. Larry’s creativity was abundant in his personal life. Larry enjoyed painting, woodworking, inventing things, and doodling. Larry enjoyed playing guitar, piano, and his kalimba throughout his life. Larry also had an immense love of cooking and baking. He often could be found making his own adjustments to recipes or simply creating a dish without a recipe. 

Larry deeply loved his family. His grandchildren and great grandsons brought him so much joy and happiness. Larry was always quick to tell everyone how proud he was of his three daughters, and three grandchildren. Larry loved to laugh and make jokes. His joyful and giddy laugh was unmistakable. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Ray and Mattie Lundy. Larry is survived by his three daughters, Shawntel Johnson, Teresa Oliver (husband Adam), and Julie Adams; three grandchildren, Shyla Oliver (husband Alex), Joshua Harless (wife Kiana) and Alexis Harless (fiance Jordan Morgan); two great grandsons Junuh and Jensen; sisters Jennie Adams and Rejeanna White (husband David). 

Friends and family may celebrate his life at memorial services Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 12PM.
