Kristina “Kris” Kay Cadden, a loving mother, grandmother and longtime resident of Carmel, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026. Born Sept. 5, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio to Frances Valerie (Vokes) and Sylvester Bell Kerlin. She graduated from Brookville High School in 1970 and The Ohio State University. After completing nursing school, Kris had a long career providing health care at various locations including, The Ohio State University, Grant Hospital, Bethesda Hospital, several horse racing venues, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Community Hospital in Indianapolis.

Kris is predeceased by her husband, Bernard Marcus “Marc” Cadden, parents and sister Katie. They met while working as pharmacy technicians at The Ohio State University. They married in 1974 and provided a wonderful, loving and adventurous upbringing to their two sons.

Kris had a lifelong love of Thoroughbred horses, participating/organizing activities for her children and sharing the labors of her crafting. Later in life, she was an active and appreciative member of Together Today through the Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County. She was blessed to live in a community with caring and supportive neighbors. Good Neighbors in every sense.

Kris is survived by her children, Clint (Stephanie) Cadden of Windsor, Ontario, and Brad (Amanda) Cadden of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Caleb, Clara and Cashel of Windsor, and Jaxon, Blaze and Chase of Evansville; siblings, Peter A. Kerlin of Jacksonville, FL, and Patricia A. Kerlin of Troy, OH; nieces and nephews; and friends.

She was a parishioner of OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL “OLMC”, 14598 Oakridge Rd, Carmel, IN 46032, where services will be celebrated commencing at 10:00 am MONDAY, October 5, 2026 (mass at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon), presided by Father Richard Doerr.
