Kim was born in Talladega, Alabama. Her parents were Gail Stout Jr. and Patricia Stout. Kim had one brother, Lloyd Stout. Kim and Lloyd spent summers in Alabama at their grandparents house. Kim loved her grandparents with all her heart and she had many fond memories that she shared with family and friends.
Kim graduated from Arlington High School in 1972 and was involved in theatre productions, the German club and history club. She was also an active member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls ("Rainbow Girls"). Kim graduated August 23, 1973 from Marion County General Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Community North from July 19, 1976 to March 2013. Kim was a vital member of the Community North IV Team. She was the one they would call for difficult pic line placements because of her steady hands and attention to detail. Kim loved being a nurse and served her patients with love, gentle care and devotion.
In 2013, Kim was involved in an accident that took her eyesight. Her low vision did not stop her from doing the things that she loved. She had a beautiful patchwork quilt of her family- some by blood and others by heart. Kim loved to crochet and would make all kinds of things with yarn. She also loved to travel and one of her most of her memorable trips was to Italy to visit Katie. She loved to cook – especially Italian food. She could make an amazing lasagna and the best pan-fried chicken. Kim was invested in cooking to feed the soul and the heart because she always gave from the heart and was generous to those in need at all times.
Kim was a sister at heart to Jeanette Beasley-Ginther (John) and Katie Kennedy-Milster (Ferman). Although Kim had no children, she was a bonus Aunt to Crystala Ginther-Evans (Jeremy) and Gabriel Ginther. She was also a bonus Great Aunt to Madison and Caleb Evans. She was also family with Laura Clark-Torres, her husband Michael Torres, and their son Jordan.
She was loved and will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
