Kimberly Joan (Johnson) Hook, age 76 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Sunday September 14, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital with family by her side. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois, August 30th , 1949, to Sally & Marvin Johnson. She was a student at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, through 1967.
Kim was a dedicated mother that always supported her children in whatever they did. She was the Secretary/Treasurer at Indiana Central Little League for 10 years while her youngest 2 boys played there.
She was a very accomplished bowler with many High Average awards through league bowling. She also won the 1985 True Value WBPA women’s singles title as an amateur.
She taught a learn to bowl program for youth on Saturday mornings at Sport Bowl on Indy’s southside from 1985-1988. She then went to work in the Psychiatric field as an office manager for a few different places before finding her home with S&T Partnership. She worked for S&T from 1995-2019.
Kim will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her friends and her faith. Kim never knew a stranger. Her gentle spirit drew others in, making them feel seen, heard and loved.
Kimberly is predeceased by her parents, her husband Patrick Hook, and her brother Wayne Johnson. She is survived by her children Tammi Lyn (Dennis) Swarthout, Bonloe (Tonja) Hammer, Jeremy Hook, Jeff Hook. Grandchildren Blake, Dylan, Grant, Damon, Rachel, Reese, Tiffany, Cora, Avin, Dakota, and Rocco and Siblings Jay Johnson and Wendy Haywood and three nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Church 52 on September 22nd, from 5-8pm The address is 8220 Brookville Rd. Indianapolis, IN She will be buried with her husband Pat in a private service at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at a later date. Any donations will be gladly accepted at the Church and be put towards her grandchildren’s education
