Ken Owens

Kenneth R. Owens, 78, passed away on November 6th, 2023. Ken was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 23, 1945, to Thomas and Helen Owens. After graduating from Indiana State University, he pursued a successful career in electrical engineering. 

He and his wife, Kristy, were married for 45 years and have four children, Shellee Pietras, David Conner, Anna Kosseifi, and Edward Owens. His grandchildren include Shelbie Conner, Morgan Pietras, Emma Pietras, Pierre Kosseifi, Anne Marie Kosseifi, and Trevor Smith.  In addition, he is also survived by three great grandchildren, and his sister, Marjorie Forbes of Indianapolis.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Johnson County Senior Services who served him with compassion and love for the past two years.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. There will be a 2nd visitation followed by the funeral service on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023. The visitation will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Oaklawn Cemetery.
