Kelli Leigh Davis passed away peacefully at her home in Mooresville, Indiana, surrounded by her family on June 21, 2024. Born in Indianapolis on December 16, 1971, Kelli was the eldest child of Jill Dunn and Larry Eakle. From an early age, Kelli knew that her calling was to be a devoted and loving mother, raising a large family of her own children and, together with her longtime partner Brian, fostering many more. Undeterred by labels, Kelli was happily “Mom” to all of her children, her partner’s children, and foster children equally. She poured her selflessness and unending love into the next generation, instilling in each of them strong values of kindness, caring, and resilience, among so many more.
Kelli was also a fighter, demonstrated by her battle against stage 4 cancer, in which she was successful for over a decade. Enduring many surgeries and other treatments, Kelli was determined to fulfill her commitments as a mother, grandmother, partner, and source of love and support for her extended family. Indeed, just last month, she was proud that her last child graduated from high school, completing 31 years of guiding, growing, and nurturing her children into adulthood. Her boundless love extended to animals as well, with dogs and horses around her home throughout her life.
Kelli is survived by her partner Brian Beckner; her children Kelly Dewey (Zach Dewey), Dylan “Ryker” Marsh (Matt Harris), Taylor Cooper (Matt Cooper), Zachary Davis, Brian Dean Beckner (Kiyanna Ward), Waylon Beckner, Lexie Beckner, and James Beckner; her grandchildren Aleigha Dewey, Mila Dewey, Braxton Davis, Colt Cooper, and Brian Dean Beckner, Jr.; her father Larry Eakle (Nathan Sherlock); her brother Larry Eakle, Jr. (Becky Eakle); and her nephew Cole Eakle. She is predeceased by her mother Jill Dunn.
The family wishes to thank Jordan Bushnell, N.P., and his entire team at Community South Cancer Center, for the extraordinary care they gave Kelli over the many years of her cancer journey.
