Kathleen Ann Hasemeyer

Kathleen “Kaye” Hasemeyer passed away on July 24, 2023 at the Villages of Oak Ridge surrounded by her loving family.

Kaye was born on October 6, 1926 to Joseph and Mary (Sullivan) Carpenter in Kinde Michigan. She married VL Hasemeyer on February 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2014 after a marriage of 67 years.

During her life, she was an advocate for those with disabilities and was a friend to all. She had a zest for life and loved to laugh. She had a wealth of stories that she was willing to share with anyone willing to listen. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those gone before her include her beloved daughter Bonnie, her parents, husband, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those left to cherish Kaye’s memory include daughters Pam Newton (Jim), Fishers, Kim Herbertz (Chris), Loogootee, grandchildren Erin Thompson (Sean), Indianapolis, Beth Yoder (Pete), Indianapolis; Ryan Herbertz (Misty), Evansville, and Sarah Hembree (Evan), Washington, great-grandchildren Theo Yoder, Dalila Yoder, Cora Yoder, Aiden Mensch, Hattie Hembree and Caroline Hembree.

She will be missed by all. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
