Kathie Jean Dupuis

Kathie Jean (Bellmore) Dupuis, 73, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away July 31, 2025, at IU Health West Hospital.

She was born Sunday, December 30, 1951, to William Bellmore Jr. and Betty Jean (Herron) Bellmore in Indianapolis.

Kathie is survived by her son, Eric David Wayne Martin (Sarah); grandchildren Faith and Dylan; siblings, Pamela Kay Adams, Roberta Ann Bellmore, Kerry Wayne Bellmore, Terry David Bellmore, Randy William Scott Bellmore (Celina) and Steven Samuel Bellmore. She was a loving aunt to Lori Jean, Michael, Amanda, Alexandria, Scott, Kim, Kara, Jeremy, Angel, Derek, Julie, Kristi, Joshua, Logan, Cole, Kelsey, Emma, Adrianna, Randi, and Isaac.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William, and Betty Bellmore; siblings, William Edward Kasenberg and Deborah Sue Martin.

Kathie loved music, especially Conway Twitty. Even the nurses at Meadow Lakes Nursing Home would come into her room playing music to get her up and moving. Other residents would often join in when they heard the music and come dancing in her room. She was known by “Cat” by the staff and “the cat lady” because of her love for them. At one point in her life, she had forty-one cats she cared for in her home.

Kathie was a genuinely good-hearted person who would do whatever she could to help others out, even strangers. She was like a mother hen to the other residents at Meadow Lakes.
