Judy Fay Swartz

Judy Fay Swartz, 78, of Avon, Indiana, passed away on September 25, 2026. She was born on March 21, 1948, in Simpson County, Kentucky, to Hubert L. Dunn Sr. and Nettie M. (Gray) Dunn.

Judy will be remembered as a kind, loving, and caring woman whose life was centered on devotion to those she loved. She attended Arsenal Tech High School and went on to be a homemaker and stay at home mother. She also found joy in the creative and comforting pursuits she loved, especially knitting, crocheting, and painting.

One of the proudest moments of Judy’s life was marrying her beloved husband, Larry Swartz Sr., on June 12, 1964. Their marriage was a cherished part of her life and remains a lasting part of her story.

Judy is survived by her sons, Brian Swartz, Kenny Swartz, Ronnie Swartz, and Randy Swartz; her brother, Albert L. (Barbara) Dunn, as well as several grandchildren. She leaves behind a family who will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude for the care she gave so freely throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Swartz Sr.; her son, Larry Swartz Jr.; her father, Hubert L. Dunn Sr.; her mother, Nettie M. Dunn; her brothers, Hubert L. Dunn Jr. and Lloyd Dunn; and her sisters, Mable Hicks, Jane Kirby, and Dora Hilligas.

Visitation will be held on October 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.

Judy Fay Swartz will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
