Judy E. Lamond

Judy Evelyn Lamond, lovingly known to all as “Granny,” passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on July 20, 1945, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Judy spent her life rooted in the community she loved. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and comfort to everyone she encountered.

Judy was the proud mother of Mary Ann Lamond and a cherished grandmother to Robert, Brittany, Nicole, Jayden, Nathan, Jordan, and Alaeighni. She was also the loving great-grandmother of Liam Minardo. She was preceded in death by her parents, McSwain Greer and Lela Gaines, as well as her beloved grandson, Lucas Henson.

She dedicated 28 years of her career to Chase Bank, where she worked as a title investigator before retiring. Her work ethic and commitment were a reflection of the strength and determination she carried throughout her life.

To know Judy was to know warm, genuine love and deep compassion. She had a way of making everyone feel like family—so much so that she would often introduce herself simply as “Granny” upon first meeting someone. This small gesture perfectly captured the open-hearted, nurturing spirit that defined her life.

Judy’s family will hold a private service to honor her life.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
