Joyce Maxine Emerson, 95, of Avon, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on April 13, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1930 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Fred and Travie Lewis.
Joyce is survived by her 4 children, Randall K.(Leslie) Emerson, Curtis S.(Kimberlee) Emerson, Laura L.(Matthew) Burkert, and Eric S.(Robin) Emerson; her 11 grandchildren, Brian (Sara) Emerson, Alaina (Brian) Rejer, Annette Forrester, Evan Emerson, Makenzie Emerson, Matthew Burkert, Daniel Burkert, Samuel Burkert, Makailyn Burkert, Eric (Katie) Emerson, and Whitley (Jake) Duman; and 10 great grandchildren, Evelyn, Charlotte, Natalie, Jameson, Tatum, Corabelle, Elsie, Maxine, Jacob and Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall L. Emerson, and her parents.
Joyce's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 10 a.m. until Noon. Joyce will be laid to rest at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Memory Gardens.
