Joy Ann Lovins (Brown), 72, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 at the Brownsburg Health Care Center in Brownsburg Indiana.

Born on December 22, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Joy was the daughter of the late Herbert and Evelyn (Sparks) Brown of Indianapolis Indiana.

Joy dedicated many years of service to United Technologies Carrier Corporation in Indianapolis before retiring. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to those around her.

In life Joy loved art, good mystery books, and cat friends. Joy will not only be remembered for her inner strength but for the deep love she gave to her family and friends.

A woman of deep faith, Joy believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and spent countless hours sharing her beliefs with others. Her spiritual strength was a guiding light for many who knew her, and her conversations about God brought comfort and inspiration to those around her.

Joy was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her son Earl (Reca) Lovins; daughter Charlotte Beams (Kelly Shepherd); four siblings: Harold Sparks, Donald (Susie) Brown, David (Dianne) Brown, and Darrell (Carla) Brown; and sister-in-law Sheila Brown; grandchildren Rick Beams, Damyon Beams, Luke Harris, Kaylee Hickle, Maddie Burns-Hickle and one great-granddaughter Emilee Cady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Evelyn Brown; her sister Teressa Brown; and her brother Ronald Brown.

Joy's unwavering faith and loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. May her memory bring peace and comfort to those she touched throughout her life.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time for family and friends to attend and remember
