Josephine Liggins

Josephine Liggins was born on January 10, 1934 and departed this earthly life on March 30, 2023 to join her mother, grandmother, father, sister, and several other family members who departed before her.

Josephine was the daughter of Rosetta Moore and Arnly McGrew. Her birthplace was Alport, Arkansas.

Josephine retired from Thompson Consumer Electronics (RCA) where she was a record press operator. She enjoyed several styles of music, including gospel, and R&B. Her favorite was Luther Vandross.

Josephine was a true believer in Jesus Christ and professed Him to be The Only Begotten Son of God.

While her latter years were wrought with illness and loss of memory, she so often gained clarity and told anyone who visited to go back and tell every family member how much she loved them. Often, calling each person by name.

Josephine, having no children of her own, was affectionately called Auntie, way before it became the catchphrase it is today.

She will be missed.
