Joseph Francis Perrin

Joseph Francis Perrin, 85, went to be with Jesus May 12, 2026. Joe was born January 21, 1941 to the late Paul and Charlotte Perrin. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1958-1962.

Joe married his devoted wife, Rhea, on May 9, 1987, and together they enjoyed over 39 years by each other’s sides.

Joe relished making people laugh and was always quick with a joke. His sense of humor was contagious. He loved anything with wheels and had a passion for racing and fixing up cars. Joe was actively involved with AA for 44 years, mentoring and giving his time, love and encouragement to many in the program. He loved his AA family like his own and was always available to them. He was dedicated to the success of the Indianapolis Progress House from the beginning and generously supported its mission to help those in need. Joe was an active member of New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown, In., and treasured his friendships there.

Joe’s greatest joy, though, was his family. He was a loving husband and father and spoiled every dog he ever had. He will be missed terribly.

Joe is survived by his wife, Rhea Perrin; sister Rosemary Cannon; daughters Joie Trefz (David) and Cathy Rau (Kevin); sons David Perrin and Greg Stinger; grandsons Brenton Perrin (Sierra) and David Joseph Perrin (Hannah); great grandsons Brayton Perrin and Jax Perrin; great granddaughter Josie Joyce Perrin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Charlotte Perrin.

Services to be held Friday, May 29, 2026 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250. Friends and family are welcome to gather for a public visitation from 2:00pm-4:00pm. A memorial service with military honors to follow visitation at 4pm at the funeral home.
