John Jason Stasiak, 49, of Cicero, Indiana, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

John was born on February 3, 1977, to John Steven Stasiak and Janet Catherine See (Stasiak). He was preceded in death by his father, John Steven Stasiak. John is survived by his loving family, mother, Janet Catherine See (Stasiak), sister Julie Lynn Stasiak, brother Andrew Eric Stasiak, and his three children, John Jadin Stasiak, Ethan Thomas Stasiak, and Parker Jason Stasiak.

John was the proud father of his three sons, John Jadin Stasiak, Ethan Thomas Stasiak, and Parker Jason Stasiak, and a loving grandfather to Gracelyn Rose Stasiak. His family meant more to him than anything, and the love, knowledge, and memories he gave them will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army and later built a career as a pharmacist. Exceptionally intelligent and endlessly curious, John was the kind of person who always seemed to know something about everything. He passed that knowledge on to his sons, teaching them countless lessons about life and helping shape them into the men they are today.

Outside of work, John enjoyed fishing, cooking, working around the house, working on cars, and collecting coins. He could usually find a project to keep himself busy and was famously thrifty—always knowing how to make a dollar stretch and rarely willing to spend one when he didn’t have to.

More than anything, John loved spending time with his family. He was intelligent, caring, resourceful, and deeply loved. To his sons, he wasn’t simply their father; he was one of their greatest teachers. So much of who they are today came from him, and his influence will continue through them and through the generations that follow.

The loss of John has left an immeasurable hole in the lives of those who loved him. Forty-nine years was far too short, and saying goodbye has brought a pain that words cannot adequately describe. He will be missed more than he could have ever known and remembered with an incredible amount of love.

John was cremated in accordance with his wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor, at the American Legion Post 470 on October 10th from 1-3pm
