John Bernard Shank

(95) John B (Bernie) Shank Indianapolis Indiana and Englewood Florida passed away on 11/25/2023.

He was Born on December 29,1927 to George E and Helen Cogan Shank. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Gloria H. His two brothers George III and Bill. His two children Michael H. and Pamela Hubbard.

He is survived by his three children, John B. Jr., Barbara Shurina and Suzanne Ryan. His 14 grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

He served as an Aircraft Carrier Pilot in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and remained a private pilot until the end.

He was co-founder of Shank Concrete Products and Rite-Mix Corporation of Indianapolis IN in addition To Emmetts Spa & Beauty Center of Englewood FL.

He served as president of St Mary’s Child Center, Indpls., St. Thomas Aquinas Mens Club & The Service Club of Indpls. He was also a member of The American Legion, A.P,O,E, and Legatus.
