John T. Mediger, 57, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 15, 2026.

John was born in Indianapolis on September 16, 1968, to Coral A. Mediger. He attended Washington Township schools, including Nora Elementary School and Northview Junior High School, before graduating from North Central High School.

Throughout his career, John was known for his strong work ethic and adaptability. He spent many years working in the restaurant and hospitality industry before transitioning into logistics, where he worked for approximately ten years. Committed to furthering his education, John attended Ivy Tech Community College and earned his Associate's Degree in 2014.

After completing his degree, John worked for Uber before pursuing his passion for transportation services. He later established and operated Pride Executive Car Service, a business he proudly ran for more than a decade. Through his work, he developed many valued friendships and professional relationships and took great pride in serving his customers.

John was truly a people person. He loved working in customer service, meeting new people, and making others feel welcome. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, he was always ready with a joke, a funny story, or a smile that could brighten someone's day. His genuine kindness and ability to connect with people left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

John also enjoyed collecting a variety of items and sharing his unique interests with family and friends. He possessed a true entrepreneurial spirit and found great satisfaction in building and operating his own business. Helping others and creating meaningful relationships through his work brought him tremendous joy.

In recent years, John faced significant health challenges, including lymphedema. Despite these struggles, he continued to demonstrate determination and resilience. As his health declined, complications related to his condition ultimately led to sepsis, and he passed away on May 15, 2026.

John will be remembered for his perseverance, his sense of humor, his dedication to his work, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Coral Mediger; his half-sister, Angie Meachum, half-brother, Chris Mathe; cousins: Kristine Bach, Elaine (Kevin) Cronk, Karen Nuessmeier; great-niece, Nicole (Adam) Smith, Owen & Sam, Britany (Pat) Edberg, Bailey, Boone & Wesley, Christopher Bach, Katherine Cronk, Erica Cronk, Katie Meachem, Kara Meachem, Jonah Edwards, and many friends and family.
