John Homer Furrey

John Furrey, 85, passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on July 3,2026, beginning what his family lovingly calls his greatest adventure. A devoted husband to Janice (Grant) Furrey and beloved father to Deanna Furrey, Kara Furrey Solis, and Marsha Stoll (Furrey). 

John lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and curiosity. He loved Jesus, his family, his church, and helping others. His passion was evangelizing to others, going on missions trips, taking care of his garden and plants, working with Royal Rangers, and fishing. His gentle spirit and joyful eagerness to experience new things touched everyone who knew him. John’s legacy of love and service will be cherished always.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at noon. Visitation will take place at Indiana Funeral Care, West at 11 a.m. until service time. John will be laid to rest following the service at Brownsburg Cemetery.
