Her and Jack then moved to The Restoracy of Carmel to be cared for and close to their daughter. Jo was a homemaker and wonderful mom while her children were growing up. After the youngest, her daughter, graduated, she began working at the local grade schools in Wabash, Indiana as the secretary. Her husband, Jack, and her opened their own head hunting business, Lange & Associates, in the 1990's. She loved spending time with family and friends and her grandchildren. The children and grandchildren fondly remember the Christmases spent with “Grandma Jo” and “Po”. Grandma made every Christmas special. There was more than enough presents to go around as well as food. Jo was preceded in death by her son, James (Jim) Lange and John (Jack) Lange, Jr. as well her husband, Jack. They were able to celebrate 70 years together on December 27, 2021.
