Life and Legacy - Jimmy Scott Lovejoy -April 18th, 1971- April 22nd, 2026
Jim Scott Lovejoy was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, in Freeborn County, to Jimmy and Amelia Lovejoy. He grew up in many different places, and that shaped one of his greatest gifts, his ability to walk into almost any room, blend into any situation, and genuinely connect with people from all walks of life.
Jim met his wife Libby in 1995. They were married in 1998 and later welcomed their daughter, Allie, in 2007. Together, they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and commitment. His family was at the center of everything he worked so hard to create.
As an entrepreneur, Jim held many different roles throughout his life, each one teaching him something and pushing him forward. That journey eventually led him to Alljoy Medical, where he poured his blood, sweat, and tears into building something meaningful, not just for himself, but for his family. His work was more than a business. It was part of the legacy he was determined to leave behind.
A dreamer & gladiator of life, he was always thinking about what was next. How to grow, how to push himself further, and how to help others rise with him. He had the heart of an entrepreneur and a giving spirit of someone who never stopped fighting for better.
He was an avid golfer, expert driver who may have taken a few creative liberties with the speed limit, a fabulous dancer, a true music connoisseur, and a creative builder of model cars. He was a fierce competitor and, in his own mind, the undefeated king of Monopoly. While ping-pong may not have told the same story, he showed up every time with heart & hustle.
Jim loved the Word of God. His faith was part of who he was and would share with everyone he met. Though he will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that he now rests in the hands of God, held in peace and waiting in Abraham’s bosom.
Jim leaves behind; Wife, Libby, and his daughter, Allie Lovejoy. Survived by his siblings; twin sister Lyssa (Fiancé George), Tim (Spouse, Melin), Toni, Natalie, Richard (Spouse, Theresa), Clifford, and Princess (Spouse, Michael). Many nieces and nephews, who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Lovejoy, mother Amelia Lovejoy and his sisters Carolyn and Evelyn.
Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him. We will miss his fight, his humor, his faith, his big dreaming spirit. His presence will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
