Jimmie Thomas Jessie

Jimmie Thomas Jessie, 74, of New Ross, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in his home with his companion and her son by his side.

Jimmie was born in Barren County, Kentucky, on March 2, 1951 to Philip Earl and Gertrude L. Jessie. They both proceed him in death.

Jimmie was a farm hand for the Bronaugh/McClaskey farm for 45 years. He was never thought of as just a farm hand, he was part of the family.

Jimmie enjoyed working on any kind of small motor. He spent his free time working on lawnmowers and fishing.

Jimmie is survived by his two sons, Christopher Jessie and Travis Jessie, along with his 20 year companion, Annette Elliott, and her son, Joe Fine, sister-in-law, Shirley Jessie, one nephew, Donnie Jessie, and three nieces, Penny Stephens, Amanda Halford and April Jessie. Jimmie is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, Donald and Carolyn Sue.

A private memorial service is planned for a later date.

Jimmie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
