Jerry Michael Koglin

Jerry M. Koglin, 85, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026. Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1941, Jerry lived a life defined by hard work, dedication to his craft, and a deep love for his family.

A Dedicated Craftsman

Jerry built a long and respected career as a proud member of the Local 440 Plumbers and Steamfitters union, dedicating nearly 40 years of service before his well-earned retirement in 2006. Following his retirement, Jerry traded the Indiana winters for the sunshine state of Florida, where he enjoyed the warm weather and relaxed pace for many years. In his final years, health issues brought him back home to Indiana, allowing him to be closer to the family he cherished.

Family and Legacy

Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Schwimmer Koglin; his father, Harold Koglin; and his brother, Harold Koglin.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory:

• Children: Mark Koglin, Martha Chiplis, Jon Koglin (wife Joy), and Sarah Stoner (husband Mark).
• Grandchildren & Extended Family: Several beloved grandchildren and a wide circle of treasured family members.
