Jerome Francis Pierle

Jerome 'Jerry' F. Pierle, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away, February 6, 2026 at his home in Indianapolis He was born on July 7, 1937, the son of the late George and Lillian (Bostwick) Pierle. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Pierle and his wife, Hazel; his sisters, Margie Sheets and her husband David and Carolyn McKenna; his sister-in-law, Chloe Pierle; and his son-in-law, Thomas Kirby. 

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Charleen; his children, Karen, Kevin (Debbie), Keith (Linda), Kent (Helen), Karla (Greg); 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and his brother, Richard Pierle.

Jerry graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1955. He retired from the US Postal Service after 35 years.

Jerry enjoyed traveling, woodworking, and playing golf. He also enjoyed spending time with his family while playing cards and dice together. He will truly be missed. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Indiana Funeral Care West, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time. Jerry will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Indianapolis.
