Jerome Leonard Morgan Jr. was born on March 12, 1973, and entered eternal rest on December 26, 2025. Jerome’s life was one marked by strength, resilience, love, and devotion to his family. He leaves behind a legacy that will live on through the many lives he touched and the deep love he shared with those closest to him.

Jerome was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son, and a loyal brother. His family was the center of his world, and his presence brought both comfort and strength to those around him. He was known for his protective nature, his ability to stand firm for those he loved, and his unwavering commitment to his family through every season of life.

He was united in marriage to his beloved spouse, Cherise Morgan, with whom he shared 25 years of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Together, they built a family rooted in perseverance, faithfulness, and deep affection. Jerome took great pride in being a father to his children, Nazjai Morgan, Jerome Morgan III, and Romero Morgan. He loved them deeply and carried their futures in his heart, always wanting the best for them and encouraging them to be strong, honest, and true to themselves.

Jerome was the beloved son of Eluene Morgan and the late Jerome Leonard Morgan Sr., whose influence and legacy remained present throughout Jerome’s life. The values instilled by his parents helped shape him into the strong, devoted man his family knew and loved.

He shared a close bond with his sisters, Prena Simmons, Timiko Morgan, and Aeisha Harris, and his brothers, Vernell Morgan, Horace Toppins (Nicole Toppins), and Wayne Dunlap (Jenny Dunlap). As a brother, Jerome was dependable and fiercely protective—someone who could always be counted on to show up when it mattered most.

Jerome was also deeply loved by his nieces and nephews, whom he cared for with pride and affection, as well as a wide circle of extended family members, cousins, and lifelong friends who will forever remember his loyalty, strength, and generosity of spirit.

Jerome’s life was woven into the lives of many, and his impact will continue to be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Scripture of Comfort:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8

Jerome didn’t give loudly.
He gave in steady ways—
By showing up, staying close,
And choosing his family every day.

He carried so much for the people he loved,
Never needing recognition or praise.
He was strong when we needed strength,
Gentle when we needed grace.

Our family was his anchor.
His promises never bent.
When things were hard or uncertain,
Jerome stayed—fully present.

He loved through sacrifice and care,
Through faithfulness and devotion.
As a husband, as a father,
His love was more than words—it was motion.

And though his hands are resting now,
What he gave us is still alive.

His love lives on in our children,
And in the lives he shaped just by being who he was.
