Jeremias Arceo, 95, of Lucban, Quezon (Philippines), passed away on June 23, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Jeremias was born in Lucban, Quezon to Guillermo and Panfila Arceo on May 01, 1931.
He married Agueda Eleazar on January 30,1955. He went to school in Lucban, Quezon and was one of the first graduates of Lucban Academy. He furthered his education and graduated from the University the East with a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce degree. He worked at Malacanang Palace in the Office of the Philippine president briefly. Then he went into business, establishing a restaurant, bakery, memorial park, and other land development endeavors. He was a member of civic organizations, Jaycees and Rotary Club. He immigrated to the United States in 1987. He went ahead to work in various restaurants as a cook and baker. He retired in 1997. During his active years, Jeremias enjoyed traveling world-wide and made every effort to visit the Philippines annually to see his family and relatives. He enjoyed reading novels, watching every sporton television and sometimes live as well as TV game shows and world news to keep his mind sharp. He displayed his love of cooking and baking at home and during many family reunion events.
Jeremias is preceded in death by his wife, Agueda, children Estela and Luis, son-in-law Michael Williams and siblings Virginia, William, Marcial and Rosemarie. Jeremias is survived by his children Lourdes (Harold), Rupert (Zean), Lina and Philip, brother Joselito, grandchildren Melissa, Mikey (Cat) and Bianca (Danny) and great grandchild Landon.
The funeral mass and memorial will be held on July 1, 2026, 3:00PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E 10th St. Indianapolis, IN 46219. A final memorial mass and interment of his ashes will be held at San Luis Memorial Park in Lucban, Quezon at a future date.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Community Hospital East and Community Hospice Program for their care and guidance in his final days.
