Jeffrey Darrel Woodlee, born on October 9, 1962, in Beech Grove, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, in Martinsville, Indiana.
Jeff was a man of deep faith and unwavering commitment to his calling. As a teenager, he gave his life to the Lord – a decision that would shape the course of his life and lead him into pastoral ministry over three decades. His dedication to serving others through his faith, left a lasting impact on many lives he touched throughout the years.
As a proud veteran, Jeff served in the United States Army while stationed in Hawaii. His time in the service reflected his sense of duty and discipline – qualities that remained with him throughout his life.
His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonita Lynn Woodlee, his bride of 46 years, and their sons, Jeffrey (Angela) Woodlee, Jedidia (Jennifer) Woodlee, and beautiful grandchildren Isaac (Ciara) Woodlee, Anna (Tim) Rossi, Samuel Woodlee, Abraham Woodlee, and Elias Woodlee. Whether watching his grandchildren participate in their favorite activities, or traveling with loved ones, Jeff cherished every moment spent with those closest to him, including his mother-in-law, Bonnie Cartwright and his life-long friend, Robert Jones.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Rosie Woodlee, his brother, Danny Woodlee and his father-in-law, Darrell Cartwright.
Jeff’s legacy is one of faithfulness – to God, to family, and to the communities he served. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him. A funeral service will be held on October 9, 2025, commencing at 11:00 AM at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 1415 N. Gate Road, Madison, Indiana.
