Jason Paul Roscoe

February 25, 1950 — September 14, 2023

Jason Paul Roscue, 47, of Indianapolis, IN, sadly passed away on September 14, 2023 from pancreatic cancer at Life’s Journey Hospice Center in Avon, IN.

Jason was born September 3, 1976 to Barney and Kay Roscoe in Indianapolis.  He graduated from Zionsville High School in 1995, and went on to study English Literature at DePauw University.

After graduating from DePauw, Jason started his first job at WTHR Channel 13 as a production assistant, kickstarting a 24 year career in television.  He was beloved by his co-workers for his quick wit and quirky humor.

Jason enjoyed watching movies and had a sizeable film collection.   He also had a impressive collection of comic books, video games and collectible toys.  Using his vast knowledge in these areas and writing skills he co-founded a well-respected website called Basement Rejects reviewing films, tv shows, comics and games.

Traveling was one of his greatest passions.  He especially loved family summer trips to Heron Island, ME.  He enjoyed traveling throughout the US and also studied in London for a fall term.  He spent much of his free time roadtripping all around Indiana.

Jason enjoyed wildlife photography and spent many a weekend visiting nearby parks, capturing beautiful photos of animals, birds and landscapes which he often shared on social media.  He also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and vegetables in his backyard.

Jason was predeceased by his mother, Mary Katherine Browning Roscoe and father Barney Martin Roscoe.  He is survived by his sisters, Kimberley Culver Sobat (William) Beth Culver Flack (Scott) and Kimberly Roscoe Sarabyn (Allen) as well as 6 nieces and nephews.

At Jason’s request no funeral service or memorial will be held.  For those wishing to donate in his honor, please consider PANCAN.org  or the Indianapolis Human Society.
