In Loving Memory of Jana Leigh Savage

Jana Leigh Savage passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family.

Born on November 19, 1959, in Shelbyville, Indiana, Jana was the beloved daughter of Warren Corbly Wright and Margaret Jane Miller Wright. She was the third of five children, Michael Wright and Cynthia Page, Amanda Paul (husband Dicky) and Warren Scott Wright(wife Connie)

Jana married John Eugene Savage of Beech Grove, Indiana on November 5th 2001 and he survives. At the age of 37, she moved from Shelbyville to Beech Grove, where she built a life centered around her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children- Heath, Cody, Johnny and Stephanie—and found immense joy in being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were among her greatest blessings, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Throughout her working years, Jana was employed by USFG and Lamping Cleaners, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. More importantly, she was known for her gentle spirit and compassionate heart. Jana believed deeply in treating others with kindness and respect, and she touched countless lives through her warmth and generosity.

Jana lived by a simple but powerful philosophy: follow your heart and do what makes you happy. She encouraged those she loved to pursue joy, embrace life, and always lead with kindness.

Jana was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest brother Michael.

Though her presence will be profoundly missed, her love and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

Heaven has gained another angel. We love you and miss you already.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 16th, 2026 from 11am-1pm at Indiana Funeral Care East, 1307 N Shadeland Avenue. A service will follow at 1pm Following the service there will be a burial at Acton Cemetery, 7900 Acton Road, Indianapolis, IN 46259.
