James Ramsey

James "Bruce" Ramsey, 65 of Franklin, passed away on May 27, 2023

Bruce was born on October 28, 1957 to the late Leonard and Cora Ramsey.

Bruce loved being a papaw and being the "CARPET MAN". Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family; especially his grandkids. The way to his heart was through his stomach: circus peanuts, banana taffy, macaroni and tomato juice, bomb pops, and cereal were the best. He never met a stranger, and always loved with his entire heart.

Bruce was a father to Jason Mobley, Bruce (Dana) Mobley, Stacey Ramsey, Brittany (Marcus) Ramsey, Trent (Caitlyn) Ramsey, Breonna (Robert) Ramsey, and Bridgette (Jacob) Sturgeon. He was a grandfather to Hunter, Kaleb, Sierra, Karrissa, Jasmin, Jasann, Jacob, Seylor, Jameison, Greyson, Axel, Delaney, Brentley, Marley, Caiden, Daxton, Memphis, Robert Jr., and Wilson (grandpup). He was a great-grandfather to Zander, Kakashi, Jasper, Stacie, and Onyx. He was a loving husband to Pamela for 32 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings, a son, a daughter, and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2:00pm-6:00pm and Monday, June 5, 2023 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 beginning at 11:00am with burial to follow at Young's Creek Cemetery. Brother Eddie Carr to officiate.
