James R. "Jim" Asher

James Ross Asher, 76 of Indianapolis, IN went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning July 12, 2020 at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on January 17, 1944 to the late Carl and Lillian Asher.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bobbie Baker.

Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. He also worked at Stans Auto Electric for 20 plus years.

Jim loved fishing, baseball, and telling stories. He never met a stranger. He was a very loving father and papaw. He was very loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his 5 children, Todd Moses, Gina Asher, Jerry Asher, Jenny Harlan and Sarah Asher; 6 grandchildren, including Lillian James and Annie Harlan who lived with him and nearby him; and brother, Carl Asher.
