James "Jimmy" Penrose, 34, passed away August 19, 2025, at his home in Indianapolis. Jimmy was born January 17, 1991, in Danville, Indiana to James Penrose and Rachel Lovins. He was raised in Thorntown, Indiana along with his sisters Lashae and Sierra Penrose.

Jimmy was a family man who loved his family dearly. He loved playing video games. He liked to crack jokes and prank people, always quoting his favorite comedians.

He is preceded in death by his mother Rachel Lovins; his grandma Sallie Sanders August; and aunt and uncle Cora and Sam Strunk.

James is survived by his father James Penrose; his sisters Lashae Penrose and Sierra Penrose; his two nieces Autumn Rawnsley and Serenity Gordon; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Funeral Services for Jimmy will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
