James P Parsons

James P. "J.P." Parsons, (78) passed away peacefully at his home, in Greenwood, IN, on Sunday, July 26th, 2020.

J.P. was known for being a hard working man. He drove semi-trucks for American Freight and Servis Shrier. He loved mowing the lawn and spending time with his family. He loved watching WWE wrestling, classic car shows, and old westerns. He also loved to golf, to bowl, and enjoyed a good motorcycle ride. J.P. always had a story to tell and laugh that would make you smile, even when you did not want to. He did not know a stranger and cared for everyone like family. He truly had a heart of gold.

J.P. met his sweetie, Elaine, in 1985, and they married on February 29, 1988. The two had a combined family of 6 children. Tammy (Chris) Cook, Kimberly (Randy) Shetterly, Jim Parsons, Robert ( Kim ) Moore, Angie Starnes, and Jeri Whited.

He also has only one living sister Jackie ( Chuck) Walker, and many grandchildren, Josh ( Noel ) Cook, Jake Cook, Jess Cook, Kassi Ferguson, Matthew ( Kaitlynn) Kekar, Calvin Coop, Makayla Moore, Kelsey Moore, Ray Qualls III, Lauren Starnes, Erin Starnes, and Cale Starnes. He also has several great-grandchildren.

J.P. is preceded in death by both of his parents Earl and Goldie ( Fields) Parsons, sister Vickie Parsons Catt, and granddaughter Taylor Parsons.
