James B. Moss

James B. Moss passed away at his home in Noblesville, Indiana on Wednesday August 23rd . He was born in Clarksburg, WV to Hayward B (Tip) and Edith E (Reeder) Moss and was the oldest of 4 sons. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard and David and his brother John currently resides in El Paso, TX. Jim grew up in Waynesfield, OH. He met the love of his life, Carol Marline Kuck, in high school. She was from New Knoxsville, OH. Jim was class president all 4 years in High School and was on the All-State Dramatic Team and Football Team and received scholarships for both. He took the football scholarship at Defiance College. They began their family while he was in college studying law. He took a job selling insurance and was so successful it became his career path. Jim was a leader and mentor throughout his career and life. He was a leader within his own franchise and became part of the International Training Team for Money Concepts International. He became a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) and was an active member of the I.A.R.F.C. Organization and was awarded the “Founders Award” in 2018. He earned many awards with Money Concepts with the most prestigious being the “Jack Walsh” Award in 2014. He also received recognition from the Indianapolis Business Journal as leading one of the largest financial planning firms in the Indianapolis area in 2014 & 2018. He was also a leader in his private life serving and active in the Boy Scouts of America as the District Chairman of the Tomahawk District in the late sixties. He also became the Sunday School teacher for his daughters during their teenage years. In the early 2000’s he and Carol became members of the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. He served for many years as a Trustee and Deacon, and he also enjoyed being part of a small group for the past 16 years. Some of the things he enjoyed were swimming, camping, magic, and football. He loved secret walks with his Grandchildren. He loved his friends; he loved his family and most of all he loved his wife. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carol Marline (Kuck) Moss and 6 children; Robert (Karen), Steven (Beverly), Rebecca, Kathy (Greg), Donald (Laura), Mark (Lynda); 11 Grandchildren; Nick, Tiffani, Adam, Eric, Michael, Jessica, Jeffrey, Paul, Ashley, Daniel, and Elisabeth as well as 12 Great Grandchildren with another on the way. He is preceded by his parents, Father-in-law, Mother-in-Law, 2 brothers and a son in-law Larry Muller. Visitation will be held at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 1605 E. 106th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46280 on Saturday September 2nd from 1 pm to 3 pm with services at 3 pm. Indiana Funeral Care is Directing Services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. http://act.alz.org/goto/JimMossMemorial .
