Jim Hudson passed away peacefully at home on December 18,2025 at the age of 78. Born on December 13, 1947 in Indianapolis Indiana, he grew up in Cumberland Indiana with his three brothers and one sister.
Jim graduated from Scecina Memorial High School in Indianapolis in 1965. He was a Sheet Metal Worker early in his career. In 1973 he was injured in a construction accident when he fell 25 feet. He went back to school and received a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management from Purdue University in 1981. Some of his construction jobs were Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Greenwood IN, Fed Ex, Indianapolis, USA Today, Cocoa Beach, FL, Toyota Plant, Walton, KY.
In 1968, Jim married the love of his life, Joyce Wessel Hudson. Together, they built a strong and loving family, welcomed three children into their lives.
Jim was a loving and caring father to his children Amy (Jon) Scott, Adam (Bambi) Hudson, Megan Hudson, 2nd son Jeremy(Nineth) Bednarski. Grandfather to Erica Davis. Great-grandfather to Zayden Price and Emmery Price.
Jim enjoyed a close bond with his siblings throughout his life even when they were separated by many miles. Michael (Mary) Hudson, Mark (Darlene) Hudson, Ernie (Tammi)Hudson, Pamela Zusy . Also numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces, nephews.
Though he was predeceased by his parents, Earnest Hudson and Rosemary Hannigan Hudson, Jim's influence and values continue to echo in the lives of those who knew him. His commitment to his family, community, and profession will be remembered and honored by all who had the privilege to call him a friend or family member.
As we remember Jim, we celebrate a life dedicated to love, family, and craftsmanship. He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Donations can be made to Make A Wish Foundation in honor of Jim.
