James Hamilton

On Saturday, September 3, 2022,  James L. Hamilton, age 68, passed away peacefully at home with his life-long partner and beloved husband, Gary, at bedside.  Jim was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on November 19, 1953, to Carole Horsley and Kenny Hamilton.  

Jim attended Ben Davis High School briefly before later obtaining his GED.  Jim loved working in construction as a home developer and later supervisor for Crossman Communities for 16 years.  Jim enjoyed working with his crew and loved to repair and build things, especially laying the foundation for gardens with his husband, Gary. Jim was the most easy-going man that you would ever meet and was known for being kind, compassionate, and considerate of others. 

Jim was preceded in death by his beloved parents, and maternal and paternal grandparents.  

He is survived by his husband, Gary, and three daughters, Erica, Amy, Sarah. A viewing and funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 1:00pm at Indiana Funeral Care located at 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
