James Groll

James "Jim" Groll, 66, passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2024 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

He was born on April 28th, 1958 in Indianapolis to John K. and Mary Ann (Carman) Groll. Jim graduated from Warren Central High School in 1976. He then went on to IUPUI and graduated with a Business degree.

Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pat; his children, Emily Groll, Amy (David) McKenzie, and Logan (Lainey) Groll; grandchildren, Maddie, Whitney, Ben, Sam, and Cameron; mother, Mary Ann Groll; sisters, Janet (Joe) Hostetter and Susan (Ted) Cook. He is preceded in death by his father, John.

He was a big IU basketball fan and enjoyed the outdoors. His favorite role in life was being "Papaw" to his grandchildren.

To honor Jim's wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. We encourage you to privately celebrate Jim's memory in your own ways.
