James G. Fennell

Jim G. Fennell, 76,  passed away peacefully at his home in Kokomo, Indiana on May 28, 2023. He was born on March 2, 1947 in Kokomo to Gerald O. and Helen L. (Hardy) Fennell. On October 21, 1975, he married Gayle L. (Hagy) Fennell in Danville, Illinois.

As a teen, Jim set regional records with the track team before graduating in 1966 from Kokomo High School. He then served 2 years in the United States Army.  Jim, a member of UAW 292, retired from Delco Electronics in 2005, after 30 years of dedicated service. Jim enjoyed cycling, nature, and spending time with his family and friends.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Gayle; son, Seth (Jessyca Arnett) Fennell;  daughter, Shannon (Siegfried) Sicoy; sister, Julia Layden; granddaughters, Hannah Fennell and Chloe Sicoy; twin great-grandchildren Ashton and Amelia VanWinkle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was greeted into heaven by his parents and sisters, Janet Bowman and Bonnie Teter.

Visitation will be at 11 AM Monday at Abundant Life Church, 1025 E. 400 S. Kokomo, IN 46902 with a memorial service to follow at 1 PM, officiated by Pastor Charlie Riley.
