James Lee Buntin

James “Jim” Buntin passed away Thursday October 9th, 2025.

He was born in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Roberta Buntin.

Jim was a veteran in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. Later, he worked for the American Legion first for the State Department, then the National Headquarters.

Survived by his daughter Jamie Kendall (Andrew), grandchildren Aubrey Irwin, Chloe Irwin, Luke Irwin, Reese Kendall, and Taylor Kendall, sister Judy Pop (John), and brother Mike Buntin.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Bernadine, sister Susie King, brothers Jack Buntin, Tom Buntin, Bill Buntin, and Joe Buntin.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 30th, 2025 from 1pm – 3pm at Indiana Funeral Care at 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46143.
