James E. Barnes passed away on October 12, 2026, leaving behind cherished memories and a family who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Born on February 5, 1955, to Effie Barnes and Leroy Barnes Sr., James lived a life shaped by his interests, his work, and, most importantly, his love for his family.

James had a passion for working with his hands and spent much of his life doing what he enjoyed most: working as a mechanic on cars and semis. He appreciated vehicles and the skill it took to keep them running, making his work an important part of who he was.

Outside of work, James enjoyed motorcycles, dragons, NASCAR, and cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, James treasured his family, especially his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.

James is survived by his daughter, Roxie Randall, and her husband, Joel Randall; his beloved grandchildren, Charlotte Randall and Elias Randall; and his siblings, Diana Phelps and Leroy Barnes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Effie Barnes and Leroy Barnes Sr., and his sisters, Patricia Dudgeon, Karen Rose, and Linda Kermode.

James's family was an important part of his life, and the love and connections he shared with them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Though his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, the stories, memories, and moments shared with James will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him. He will be remembered for his love of mechanics, his many interests, and the family who meant so much to him.

The road may have come to an end, but the memories of James will travel on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Never forgotten.
