Homer Spradlin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Homer Lee Spradlin of Rosegate Assisted Living on January 14, 2023, after having a pacemaker and battling Covid.

Homer had a birthday on January 3. He was 83.

He is the husband of Lorene Spradlin and loving father of Lisa Lynn Blight. Homer is the grandfather of Wendy Marie Blight and Linnaea Judith Bright.

Homer was proceeded in death by his brother, James Spradlin.

He is survived by his sisters Geneva Spencer and Louise Garett along with his brother-in-law's, James Spencer and Edward Garett. His sister-in-law law, Dorothy Spradlin survives as well.

Homer will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was a quiet and gentle man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren along with many other children who called him Grandpa. Homers favorite hobbies were talking on his CB radios and fishing. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing trips with his cousins. He also enjoyed watching basketball and football on TV as well.

There will be a visitation and funeral service on Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The visitation is from 10:00am to 12:00pm with the funeral service to start at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
