Herschel E. Parr, 79, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away at his home on Monday, December 13, 2021.
He was born Friday, August 21, 1942 to the late Melvin M. and Mary C. (Sims) Parr in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a US Navy veteran that served proudly.

Herschel loved snowmen, holiday lights, Christmas trees and everything about Christmas. It was by far his favorite time of the year. He was a master euchre player, gifted wood worker, loved oldies music, hardworking, giving, creative, empathetic, passionate, funny, and extremely charming. He was married to his wife for 49 years before her passing.

He is survived by his children, Vickie, Tonya and her husband Phil, Julie, Christine and her husband Brian; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren that will miss him dearly.

Herschel is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Parr; and parents, Melvin and Mary Parr.

Visitation is Friday, December 17, 2021 12:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
Memorial service with military honors will begin at 2:30 pm.
