Herman Sanner

Herman was born in New Kensington, PA on February 21, 1936 to the late Ray Oscar and Rose Victoria Pellegrino Sanner. He was joined in Christian marriage to Nora Bailey on October 4, 1958 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, a marriage blessed by God for over 58 years. He served in the United States Army for 23 years and after retiring worked for H&R Block Executive Tax Service for 14 years.

Herman was a member at Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he was involved with Men's Bible Class, Meals on Wheels, Vesper Services at Westminster Village North, and Habitat for Humanity. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. He played baseball in high school, ran 3 mini marathons, and loved watching football especially Pittsburg Steelers. He was always there to support, protect, and love his family.

He was received by God in death on April 20, 2024, having reached the age of 88 years.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his brother, Jack Eugene Sanner (Cathy); children, William Sanner (Michelle) and Sharon Hudgins (Ross); daughter-in-law, Angie Sanner; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife, Nora; his son, Bobby; his sisters, Vivian Capperila and Donna Lee Sanner, and his grandson, Zachary.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 27 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8115 Oaklandon Road, Indpls. 46236, with visitation beginning at 9am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
