Harold Bontrager

Harold Bontrager, 81, of Sedona, AZ passed away Friday, December 27, 2019, in McCordsville, IN surrounded by his family. He was born November 1, 1938 in Holton, KS. He was the son of Donald L. and Helen M. Meers Bontrager.
Harold graduated from Holton High School in 1957, Kansas State University and Oregon State University with a Masters Degree in Agriculture Economics. Following his education, Harold and Judy moved to Park Forest, IL, where they resided for 33 years, while he worked in Chicago, IL. They retired to Sedona, AZ in 1996.
Harold married Judith Ann Kaul, daughter of Harold and Mary Kaul of Wetmore, KS on August 22, 1959. Harold and Judy celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this past August with their family in Scottsdale, AZ.
Harold is survived by a large family. Harold has two sons, Brett and Todd Bontrager. Brett and his wife, Pamela have been married for 28 years and reside in McCordsville, IN and have four children; Carli (Spencer) Patton and their four children, Zoey, Piper, Daphne and Solomon of Nashville, TN, Alex Bontrager of Fishers, IN, Olivia (Zach) VanNess of Noblesville, IN and Anna Bontrager of Boulder, CO. Todd and his wife, Shelley have been married for 32 years and reside in Mishawaka, IN and have two children; Ben Bontrager of NAS Fallon, NV, and his son, Nolan Bontrager of Mishawaka, IN, and Kate Bontrager of St. Louis, MO.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings; Gerald Jerry Bontrager of Wichita, KS in 2008, Ruth Craig of Holton, KS in 2009, Calvin Bontrager of Oklahoma City, OK in 2010 and Doris “Toots” Bontrager of Holton, KS in 2013.
