Gregory Andrews

Gregory Lee Andrews, 84, left us for heaven on April 26, 2024.  He was born on September 5th, 1939, to the late Lee and Florence (Baber) Andrews in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

During the Vietnam War Era, Greg served in the US Army.  In 1968, he graduated from Indiana Central University and married the love of his life, Norma Long.  They were married for almost 56 years.

There was no doubt that Greg loved the Lord and had a close, personal relationship with Him.  Greg loved reading and studying the Bible, and he often asked others how he could be praying for them. 

He leaves behind his loving wife and children, David Andrews (Elaine) and Amy Wood (Sean), and four grandchildren: Mychal, Sarah, Elena, and Lydia. He is preceded in death by his parents and by his daughter-in-law, Rachel Andrews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10 AM until noon at Gray Road Baptist Church, 5500 Gray Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237, with the service to follow at noon.  A graveside service will be held at 2 PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 734 N Morgantown Rd, Greenwood, IN 46142.  

As an expression of sympathy and remembrance of Greg's love for the Bible, the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to help place a Bible in the hands of a believer living in a hostile area or restricted nation. Donations may be made at www.persecution.com/bibles/
