Grant is survived by his son and love of his life, Wyatt Hoefener; mother, Dee Carter, stepfather and only father figure, Jim Carter; his sister-in-law Megan Hoefener; step-brothers Brad Carter (wife Summer) and Phillip Carter (wife Vicki); his former wife and devoted friend Crystal Hoefener; stepson Brayden Rogers; his aunt Debbie Ewing; uncles David Wells (wife Sandy) and Ted Wells (wife Renae); and several cousins.

Grant earned his Associate’s Degree from Ball State University and was employed as a Lead Technician with SIR Grout in Indianapolis. He enjoyed swimming, dirt biking, go-karting, playing basketball, watching movies, and most of all spending time with his son, Wyatt.

Grant had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone who truly knew him. In death, as in life, he continued to give becoming a proud organ donor whose gift has saved the lives of five individuals between the ages of 20 and 50.

We will forever feel the loss of our Grant, but we find comfort in knowing he is at peace with God celebrating with loved ones and reunited with Dillon and his beloved Gramps.
