June 5, 1946 – June 8, 2026
Glenn Earl Blocher, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026. A lifelong resident of Indiana (Indianapolis/Fishers), Glenn was a man who truly never knew a stranger. Known for his fun-loving spirit and his genuine love for talking to people, he brought warmth and laughter to everyone he met.
Glenn was born on June 5, 1946, and grew up in Indianapolis. He attended Little Flower Catholic School and Scecina Memorial High School before graduating from Arsenal Technical High School in 1964. Driven by a deep sense of duty, Glenn enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965. He honorably served his country for two years, including a one-year deployment during the Vietnam War.
Upon returning home, Glenn built a beautiful life centered around hard work and family. Glenn spent over 30 years as a dedicated liaison engineer for Chrysler. While balancing career and family, he demonstrated his strong work ethic by earning his business degree from IUPUI. Never one to slow down, Glenn also utilized his natural gift for connection by selling life insurance for a variety of companies. After his retirement, Glenn poured his social energy into volunteering with the Fishers Sertoma Club, where he especially loved dealing cards during their charity casino nights.
As much as Glenn valued hard work, his true passion was his family. On May 3, 1969, he married the love of his life, Antoinette (Toni), beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 57 years. He cherished spending time with Toni and their two children, Kelly and Steven, often taking family trips to Kentucky Lake in their formative years and later Hilton Head. As an avid golfer and seasoned euchre player, these trips always provided an immense amount of entertainment and laughter.
Once his children were grown, with their own families, Glenn poured his time into spoiling his grandchildren. Seldom did a visit from “Poppy” end without a $20 bill (or more) finding its way into one of the unsuspecting kiddo’s pockets, and he loved cheering them on during their sporting events or treating them to a breakfast or lunch at some of his favorite local restaurants.
Above all of his achievements, Glenn’s greatest joy in life was his family, and he was a deeply devoted husband, father, and to his wife, children, and grandfather.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Antoinette Blocher; his children, Kelly (Craig) Borgert and Steven Blocher; his four cherished grandchildren, Samantha Borgert, William Borgert, Alyssa Blocher, and Brayden Blocher; and his sister, Mae Yeagy.
A Veteran’s internment service will be held at Crown Hill National Cemetery in Indianapolis on July 8th at 11 am.
