Glen Allen Archer

Glen Allen Archer (Arch), 78 of Anderson, IN. passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2026. Arch was born on September 7, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN. to Glendon Russell and Rachel C. Archer.

Glen graduated from Ben Davis Highschool in 1965 and joined the Navy directly after high school. Serving his country for 4 years. He was also a lifetime member of Amvets. After leaving the Navy he worked for Link-Belt and moved to Indiana Bell before going into business for himself. Glen’s hobbies were playing softball, basketball, and golf which he has made a hole in one.

Glen was proceeded in death by his father Glendon.

He is survived by his mother Rachel and his four sisters Sue Jackson (married to Tom), Joyce McCombs (married to Gerald), Carol Portish (married to Dave), and Gail Archer along many nieces and nephews. Glen was a very good friend and loved his large family very much.

Memorial Gathering will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250 with Military Honors taking place at 3:30 pm.
